Oily Skin & Makeup That Stays Put? Not Impossible!
Wash your face with a cleanser suitable for oily skin. Use an alcohol-free toner to balance your skin's pH level. Apply a lightweight, non-greasy serum or moisturizer.
Choose a matte, oil-free primer. Use a matte, buildable foundation. Apply a mattifying setting powder. Choose waterproof mascara. Use matte, long-lasting lipstick.
Don't apply makeup in heavy layers. Apply primer with a damp makeup sponge (like a "buffer sponge" or Beauty Blender) to press it into the pores and help makeup last longer. Use setting powder between layers of makeup (e.g., after foundation, before blush/bronzer) to lock everything in place and prevent shine. Apply foundation and concealer with a damp makeup sponge rather than brushes for a more natural finish without excess shine. Don't rub your skin or use harsh towels, as this can irritate it.
Use setting powder on the under-eye area, nose, and forehead (the T-zone) to prevent shine there. Use blotting papers to absorb excess oil throughout the day.
Use a lightweight, non-greasy serum or moisturizer. Apply moisturizer before makeup, perhaps using a damp sponge to help it absorb well and create a smooth base.
Honestly, my dear... there's nothing more beautiful than your natural skin. Don't be afraid of having oily skin. Be confident and let yourself shine (in a good way!) ✨
